Hook format explained:
Performed with 5-9 players. Suggestion is obtained and someone immediately starts with a strong vocalization/scat/harmony
that is complemented or copied by others in the enemble. Someone will then recite a simple 1-2 line chorus that works
into the vocalization. This is repeated a few times and someone from the ensemble will step out and perform an inspired
poem. A few members of the back line should keep the music vocalization going softly. The poem does not have to rhyme,
should have verbal patterns, and should copy the tone of the "thou" stage of an invocation (seeking to relate to the world).
The poet then steps back into the ensemble and the chorus/hook is repeated. This occurs about 3 times and the hook ends high
energy and scenes inspired from the opening begin.
In the scene, the back line will call out words they see as patterns in the scene. Morphing the words with the scene. This
should be done in a way that does not take focus away from the scene but adds to the background of the scene. Other
vocalizations can be used as background noise as well in addition to physical patterns. Scene paints can be used as metaphors
in the scene.
